如何申请 for Graduation

Note: 学生 who miss 的 毕业 deadline 是 not guaranteed an evaluation prior to 的 beginning of 的ir final 术语 or participation 在 annual Commencement ceremony. If you have missed 的 毕业 deadline and you 是 unsure if you should 提交 的 毕业 application late, please email us at Graduation@xx-toy.com.

毕业评价

所有 学生 who 提交 an Intent to Graduate application by 的 posted deadline for 的ir 毕业 术语 will receive a 初步 毕业 evaluation. 这个评估 is based 在 completion of 的 course and o的r program or 毕业 requirements. The official evaluation will provide infor美信 regarding outstanding requirements, 文凭 distribution, and Commencement participation. 

Note: Program course requirements 是 based 在 academic year in which 的 student officially decl是d 的 学位 or certificate. 

名称更改

Your name will appear on 你的 文凭 exactly as it is listed in myNSCC. 如果你改了名字， 提交 legal documentation of 的 change along with a 身份变更 request to 的 Records Office: Records@xx-toy.com.

学历分布

Diplomas 是 distributed 4-6周 after 的 end of 的 毕业 术语. Diploma availability infor美信 will be provided 通过 初步 evaluation and via student email at 的 end of 的 毕业 术语. 

文凭的大小

文凭是8分.5” x 11” and comes with a complementary embossed cover. 文凭帧 可能是 购买 在 Nashville State Bookstore.

失去了文凭

If 你的 文凭 is lost or destroyed complete 的 Replacement Diploma Request form available 在 学生记录 页面. 联系 的 Bursar’s Office to make payment arrangements for 的 $15 replacement 文凭 fee. Replacement 文凭 requests will be processed within 48小时 of receipt of 的 request form and payment. 

需要考试

毕业退出考试

所有 学生 获得一个 联系 学位(.A., A.A.S., A.F.A., A.S., A.S.T.) 是 要求 to complete 的 毕业退出考试 during 的ir final semester. 秋天的毕业生 should complete 的 考试 by December 1. Spring graduates should complete 的 考试 在5月 1. 暑期毕业生应 complete 的 考试 by July 15. 技术证书 学生 是 exempt from this 考试. Get more infor美信 在 测试中心 页面. 

部门离职考试

A.A.S. and 技术证书 学生 may 需要 to complete a departmental or program exit 考试. Most program exit 考试s 是 administered 在 program Capst一个 course. Check with 你的 advisor for details.

Your honors designation will become a permanent part of 你的 Nashville State Community College record and will be denoted on both 你的 transcript and 文凭.

Multi-Program毕业

A.A.S.

学生 may receive 一个 or more A.A.S. 职业度. An Intent to Graduate application is 要求 对于每个学位. 学生 must complete 15 hours unique to each A.A.S. 学位. 学生 will receive a separate 文凭 for each A.A.S. 完成程度.

完成 of Multiple Concentrations
学生 may complete multiple concentrations with a single A.A.S. 主要. 完成 of a second concentration will reflect on 你的 transcript, but 学生 will NOT receive a separate 文凭 for each concentration. To apply for completion of a second concentration, fill out and 提交 的 完成 of a Second Concentration application found on 的 学生记录 页面. 

A.A./A.S.

IN符合 的 Tennessee Board of Regents and Nashville State Community College policy, NSCC 学生只能赚取 一个 A.A. 只有学位 一个 A.S. 学位. 学生 desiring a second 学位, in a different 是a of study, from NSCC must complete a minimum of 15 additional credit hours beyond 的 requirements for 的 second 学位 must be completed at NSCC. Separate Intent to Graduate applications must be completed 对于每个学位 program.

技术证书

学生 may receive an unlimited number of technical certificates 通过 completion of 的 Intent to Graduate application for each certificate. 学生将获得 a separate paper certificate for each program completed.

Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for 2-year colleges and academic 项目. If you 是 a member, it will not be printed on 你的 文凭 but will be denoted on 你的 transcript. There is a seal available for members to place 在ir 文凭. 联系导师 Phi Theta Kappa 了解更多信息or美信.
